City Councilperson (Place 2)

Following the announcement of Brown-Patrick’s resignation from the DeSoto City Council, Mayor Rachel Proctor thanked her for her years of service and commitment to the community. Brown-Patrick was first elected to the City Council in November 2018 as part of a Special Election to fill the vacant seat. Prior to being elected, she served as a board member on the Keep DeSoto Beautiful Board and worked with Code Enforcement in their Eyes and Ears Program.

Rachel Proctor

DeSoto Mayor (Place 1)

Rachel L. Proctor was elected as the 22nd Mayor of the City of DeSoto in February 2021 and re-elected for her first official term in May 2022. Texas-bred entrepreneur, Rachel L. Proctor, has revolutionized the way people lead in business and public service. She was first elected to City Council in a Special Election in March 2013 and was re-elected in a General Election in May 2014, winning the election overwhelmingly with 78% of the vote.

This annual banquet bring together the business community and it's stake holders to celebrate the accomplishments of the year. Held in October, this formal event is full of food, fun, conversations, music and dancing.

We understand that in order to have a strong economic environment, you must have a strong community. We are truly blessed in our community to have leaders, business owners, educators, and citizens who realize that we all share in the responsibility of creating economic success and happiness. We are truly ONE DESOTO. As we continue to recover from the pandemic, the Chamber is excited about how far we've come. Our goal is to continue to work toward improving and strengthening our relationships with our members and stakeholders. As the Chamber President, I am honored to serve with our Board of Directors, members and community, sharing the same vision for business growth and community wealth.
