The new esports lab in Coppell was unveiled on Saturday, April 20, in front of excited attendees.
The newly unveiled lab is equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, featuring a striking Mavs Gaming wall mural that sets the tone for the space.
The lab is designed to expand learning opportunities in technology and Esports programs, as well as provide additional resources and access to updated technology tools.
The lab also boasts a range of gaming essentials, including consoles, monitors, desks, and ergonomic gaming chairs.
This initiative from Mavs Gaming shows the commitment to fostering technological literacy and providing a supportive environment for aspiring gamers and tech enthusiasts.
Partnering with community organizations like the Coppell Family YMCA, Mavs Gaming aims to make esports and technology education more accessible to individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
In recent years, Esports has become extremely popular among youth, provides different opportunities, and hones cognitive functions.

The shops at Red Bird (formally Southwest Center Mall) are hosting a spring fest on the lawn.
The event takes place on April 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on West Camp Wisdom Road in Dallas.
Spring Fest on the Lawn is Red Bird’s newest event and features family-friendly activities.
The event also features music, food trucks, yard games, multiple interactive attractions, face painting, food from local establishments, and much more.
There will also be a scavenger hunt around the lawn with prizes ranging from a 50-dollar gift card to a new pair of shoes and a brand new Oculus virtual reality headset.
The event is free for all to attend.

A former clerk for the DeSoto Police Department has been arrested on theft charges after the Department received a tip from a member of the public, according to a press release.
Former property and evidence clerk Carl Edmison was arrested late Thursday night at his home in Frost, Texas, by police.
DeSoto Police conducted a search warrant and found multiple firearms, various power tools, along with a compressor inside Edmison’s home.
Detectives began investigating Edmison two weeks ago after receiving a tip that he was believed to have Been in possession of multiple items allegedly taken from the DeSoto Police property and evidence room.
Officials allege that the property was taken over time.
Edmison has been charged with theft of a firearm (13) counts, a felony in the state of Texas.
He is cooperating with the investigation, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
