With plans to showcase student talent through musical performances, culinary arts’ catering and food service, and a student emcee duo to guide the luncheon, attendees will also have the opportunity purchase student art onsite as it will be displayed throughout the space as part of the event decor.
The event is anchored by a keynote presentation led by DeSoto ISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Usamah Roaders as she walks attendees through the district’s past, present and future efforts to support student achievement. Overall, the annual address is designed to articulate district progress while extending an invitation to community members to engage with the district’s vision and contribute to the narrative of educational transformation through partnership, donations and volunteerism.
