They are currently seeking employers that are interested in participating in the job fair and potentially hiring students that are seeking employment as summer employees, part-time year-round employment, full-time employment for graduating seniors, or paid internships. DeSoto High School currently offers the programs of study listed below. Since many job skills are transferrable the desire is for students to find employment in any area. The fair will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at DeSoto High School. forms.gle Pathways of Study Offered: Animal Science (some students are Veterinary Medical Applications certified and Fundamentals of Animal Science certified) Welding (some students are AWS certified) Audio/Video Technology & Digital Audio Technology (some students are Adobe certified) Graphic Design & Animation (some students are Adobe certified) Business Management, Finance, & Marketing (some students are ESB certified) Culinary Arts (some students are ServSafe Manager certified and Food Safety & Science certified) Automotive (some students take automotive courses at Dallas College) Programming & Software Development (working towards Python, IT Fundamentals and Java certifications) Engineering Teaching & Training (students volunteer at elementary schools weekly) Cosmetology (some students already have a Texas Cosmetology license) Health Science (students are working towards Phlebotomy or CNA certifications) Law & Public Service (some students participate on Dallas Co.
